Kate’s work is an exploration of impermanence and a celebration of everyday moments that become performances within themselves.

In 2018, Kate was awarded an Arts Queensland Individuals Grant and attended creative residency at Ballet West, Salt Lake City, Utah. The works produced in this period deconstructed the physical and mental practice and rituals that form every day life for a dancer at a Ballet company.  Kate returned for a further residency in 2019 deepening the exploration of moments which happen out of sight from an audience.

Recent works investigate movement as language collaborating with dancers to investigate relationships, sometimes through juxtaposition, between Dancers and physical properties (such as space, colour and light) and to identity.

Kate is based in Brisbane, Australia and is available for commission worldwide.
